How to Create an Airtable Form for Stakeholder Requests
Build a stakeholder request form in Airtable: a form view on the requirements table with only the questions stakeholders need, a short description and a share link. Every answer becomes a record. Free plan, step by step.
Step by step
The form
- Request form. Stakeholders send requests by email, chat and hallway talks. An Airtable form gives them one place, and every answer lands in your requirements table. Let me build one.
Make the form
- Form view. In the view list, click create new, pick form, choose a form view, and name it requirement request form.
- Pick questions. A new form asks for every field of the table. Stakeholders should not fill in the ID or the status. Click remove all, then click only the fields they need: the requirement, its type, its priority and a description.
- Describe it. Add a short description, so people know what happens next.
- Same words. Priority is a dropdown with our MoSCoW options, so every request uses the same words.
Share it
- Share the link. When it looks right, share form gives you a link for your stakeholders. They need no Airtable account to fill it in.
- Answers land here. Every answer becomes a new record, so let me go back to the grid view. New requests appear here as rows, ready to review, with the status still yours to set.
Recap
- One door for requests. So, a form view turns a table into an intake form. Ask only what stakeholders know, explain what happens next, and share the link. Subscribe for more Airtable tips for business analysts.
